I don’t know why but I am a bit of a succour for Teapot and Teacup images. I think the reason for this is that tea is my “go to” beverage every single day. I love coffee, don’t get me wrong, I love a “latte” from time to time but tea is the best!
So of course, the Tea Together Stamp Set featured on Page Page 49 of the new Spring/Summer Catalogue 2019 was for me an absolute must. That and the fact that if you spend £90 or 100 US Dollars you can choose the matching Tea Time framelits dies FOR FREE from the Sale-a-Bration Brochure. Well I did! It just had to be done.
I love stamping the teapot and teacup images on Stampin’ Up Shimmer Card, Water Colour Card, Designer Papers or just plain Whisper White card. It can be water coloured, coloured with Stampin’ Blends, or just left blank and decorate with the floral images. So versatile.
I was looking through my Stampin’ Up card and found a piece of Night of Navy that had been chopped a few weeks ago. I had my new Gingham Gala DSP and noticed that the Daffodil Delight went fabulously well with the Night of Navy. Well of course, I should have realised this as Blue and Yellow are opposite each other on the colour wheel so they are a perfect blend.
I used layers of So Saffron Card with the Daffodil Delight and created the design. I wanted to use a piece of the Delightfully Delighted Laser Cut Speciality Papers so that the teapot image could sit upon it, rather like a lace tablecloth, oh so very kitsch! Well I do love about of kitsch! This makes a special Mothers Day Card along with a few butterflies and hearts. By the way, don’t you just love that sentiment below. It says it all!! Fabulous.
