Floral Romance meets Lace Dynamic Textured Embossing Folder

Hi Friends,

I am busy creating cards for family and friends using my new technique of 6 x 5 3/4″ cards. Why, you may ask choose that size. Well if you have one sheet of A4 card stock this measures 11 3/4″ x 8 1/4″. Therefore I can’t make 6 x 6 cards, unless I have a 12 x 12″ sheet of card stock. I don’t generally have the need for too many sheets of this size so like to work with A4. So I cut the card stock at 6″ x 11 1/2″ and score on the long side at 5 3/4″.

I used Stampin’ Up Petal Pink card stock for the card base today. Then cut another piece of Petal Pink card at 5 3/4 x 5 1/2″ which I sprayed very lightly with water. Then I inserted it into the Lace Dynamic Textured Embossing Folder, and placed it into the Stampin’ Up! Big Shot, and oh my, what a beautiful result. The detail on this folder is STUNNING, to say the least and that doesn’t even cover it. My absolute ALL TIME Stampin’ Up favourite embossing folder!

For the decoration on the front I used the Floral Romance Speciality DSP along with the Wonderful Floral Framelits dies to create my floral images. So I used one of the gorgeous sheets of Vellum which I fussy cut and then used the dies to create a few more elements to add to them.

I die cut the oval image from the framelits in Whisper White card and stamped Happy Birthday (using an image from the Cake Soiree Stamp Set using Stampin’ Up Fresh Fig ink which co-ordinates with the colours in the designer paper. To finish the design I used one of the Floral Romance Seals. I am rather pleased with myself as this card is very special indeed.
