Easter Gift Basket using Fable Friends

Hi my Stampin’ Friends,

today I have the sweetest little Easter treat basket with such a stinkin’ cute bunny. Oh my, that bunny is so adorable. The Stamp Set I used is called Fable Friends and also comes with sentiments, squirrel and images of mother duck with three baby ducks. It just makes me go all gooey, inside!! I just love Easter, it is one of my most favourite times of the year, not just for the chocolate, but the actual meaning of it too.

To create the gift box I used about half a sheet of card stock as I wanted to fit it inside the Basket Weave Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and place it through the Big Shot die cutting machine. This gave my card stock a basket weave like texture, perfect I thought for easter.

A great tip is to place it through the Big Shot before you score your card, fold and burnish it, as once you have embossed the card you won’t be able to find your score lines!! I know, because I made that mistake, so you don’t have to!

It is extremely simple to make and doesn’t need many crafting supplies, you could say just card, ink an the stamp set. A technique called “simple stamping”. Then you can just add any embellishments of your choice and I chose to colour my bunny in with Stampin’ Blends and added a few little flowers that I punched out using a flower punch. A couple of ribbon bows gave it that “easter feel” and of course, made it look very pretty. I love it and especially as I have filled mine with some dark chocolate eggs. My favourite.

Of course, you don’t need to place your card stock through an embossing folder if you don’t have one in your crafting supplies. I have left the measurements for you below so you can make one for yourself or may be as gifts.
