Hi my Stampin’ Friends,
today’s project are some handmade tags I have been making using up some of my small off cuts I have over from making larger projects. I don’t know about you but I find them extremely annoying, as they do tend to just sit there forever. So I was thinking of smaller projects I could make to use them up. I am always at a loss to find a little tag for birthday or anniversary gifts so thought what a good idea it would be to make some, as the little gift tags in the shops are extremely plain. With all the pretty papers I have it makes sense to make some of my own.
The Tag Topper Punch from Stampin’ Up is ideal as you can punch loads of them out in next to no time. Some pretty papers and voila!! tags are made. The measurements couldn’t be simpler. I used some pieces of Thick Whisper White and Very Vanilla that measure 5″ x 2″ (12.5 x 5 cm) and punched them at the top with the Tap Topper Punch. Then glued on a piece of Designer Papers (for mine I used the Share What You Love Speciality DSP and for the “manly tags” I used the “True Gentleman” DSP. After all you have got to make some for the “men in our lives”. These were cut at 4 x 1 7/8″ (10 x 4.7 cm).
I chose various Stampin’ Up Stamp Sets for my sentiments and added any embellishments I could find in my crafting stash. Before I knew it I had made loads, so you can imagine then I needed to keep them from becoming “dog eared” and that is how my Gift Box came about.

Small offcuts of Whisper White and Very Vanilla used for other sentiments
Ribbon to co-ordinate with the colours and design of the DSP.
