Large Box Gift Bag | Artypaper Crafters

Hi my Stampin’ Friends,

today’s video demonstrates how I needed a very large Gift Bag to hold a couple of Birthday gifts for my friend. I had completely forgotten to purchase a bag so the only option was to make one. This is an absolute beauty!

It was clear from the beginning that I would need a couple of pieces of 12 x 12″ (30 x 30 cm) card stock to make it, but once I started making the bag I realised that there was hardly any waste. All that I was left with after cutting my card stock and 12 x 12″ Designer Paper was a small 2 x 12″ piece of card. This would be suitable to make three gift tags, so really no waste at all.

The bag could also be stored completely flat if necessary and made up at the last minute when it was needed.

I used Powder Pink Card stock and the Petal Promenade DSP which co-ordinated extremely well together. It uses brads for the handle so that it can be pushed down to get the goodies out of the bag. I absolute love it. What a fabulous design, though I do say so myself.

Measurements

Powder Pink Card stock – 2 pieces of 12 x 10″ Card (30 x 25.5 cm)

score on the long side at 3 3/4 and 11 1/2″ (9.5 and 27.5 cm)

score on the short side at 3 3/4″ (9.5 cm)

Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper cut at 7 1/2″ x 6″ (cut 2) (19 x 15 cm)

Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper cut at 6 x 3 1/2″ (15 x 9 cm)

Designer Series Paper Strip that is left over is glued down to one of the 12 x 2″ (30 x 5 cm) pieces of card that you had left over from cutting you card stock.
