Hi my Stampin’ Friends,
today’s video tutorial is a design by me as I wanted to create a beautiful box to hold two packets of Biscuits that I could gift to colleagues at work. So I happily set out to measure my packs of biscuits to work out what my measurements needed to be. I worked out a template design on a scrap of paper to work out that I would need a piece of card stock that measured 11 1/4 x 7″ (28.5 x 18.5 cm).
The finished dimensions of the box are 4 1/2 x 3 x 3/4″ (11.5 x 7.7 x 2 cm). Once I had made my prototype I placed the biscuits inside and was delighted that they fitted perfectly with a little room at one end. I didn’t mind that there was a little extra room, as then it was easier to open at either end and if I wanted to add some coffee and sugar sachets then they would fit easily.
I really wanted to use the Climbing Roses Stamp Set with matching Rose Trellis thinlits dies for the decoration. What a beautiful bundle this is and if purchased together there is a 10% saving. Its on Page 9 of the Spring/Summer Catalogue. I love roses, so pretty! I could also colour the roses with my Stampin’ Blends so I was a happy lady.
You can imagine my sheet delight when I realised that the trellis thinlit die fitted perfectly across the back of my design. This of course, was pure coincidence but what a happy one. The colour scheme I chose for the design was Poppy Parade and Mango Melody such beautiful vibrant colours which make me happy.
The sentiment used on the box comes from the Coffee Cafe Stamp Set as I just thought that this went well with the contents of the box, after all, biscuits do go with coffee, don’ they?
I hope you enjoy watching the video today as much as I enjoyed creating this cute little box. Its easy to make and only uses one sheet of A4 card stock and one small strip of adhesive.
