today I have this pretty Mothers Day Card which folds down to 6 x 6″. The base of the card is made using a piece of Thick Whisper White Card cut at 10 x 6″. This is a much easier card to make than it looks as there are only two cuts made on the Stampin’ Trimmer with a few score lines. I decorated it using layers of Soft Sea Foam card stock and All my Love Designer Papers.
To decorate I used the Cling Stamp Set called TEA TOGETHER. Such a lovely Set with great sentiments and images. These can be stamped onto card in many ways, but for my card today I stamped it onto some water colour card using Lovely Lipstick. I then used my Aqua Painters filled with water to add shaded colour to the teapot and teacup and saucer images. This was fun to do and relaxing.
There are die cuts that match this Set which you can earn for FREE when you spent £90 with Stampin’ Up. They are featured in the Sale-a-Bration brochure and turn this Set into a matching bundle. I love it when this happens as it does save me time from fussy cutting the images. I also stamped the flower images using Balmy Blue ink and water coloured those too using the dies to cut them out.
I added my sentiments and layered everything up using dimensionals. My mum is going to love this card, I am sure.
