Hi my Stampin’ Friends,

WordPress Gallery Plugin

I recently made the card featured in my blog today as a thank you card to a special friend of mine.  This fun fold is not my idea, but has been created by so many bloggers, that I really don’t know who made it first, so that I can credit the design to them.

I like that it is not only a fun fold design but has the added bonus of a strip of card so that I could stamp my sentiment “kindness changes everything”.  I have used this sentiment on so many handmade cards recently, as I have had the need to give these as gifts.  All the recipients have loved the sentiment.  I love it too, as it is three words that say so much.  I really do feel that in life it is those exact sentiments that can say and mean so much more than any other words could ever say.

This sentiment came from the Abstract Impressions Stamp Set.  I have to admit that it was a really strong reason for me to purchase this, but it was not until I received my Stamp Set together with the matching framelit dies, that I realised there were so many more great sentiments, as well as being part of a three-step stamping Set.  Three step stamping is the term used for images that can be stamped one on top of the other to create more depth to an image.  It works so well on my cards and is becoming such a firm favourite with me.

So to make this card today I used a piece of So Saffron Card for the base and used a small piece of the Share What You Love Speciality Designer Series Paper.

On the opposite side of the Designer Paper I cut a small piece of So Saffron Cardstock and ran it through my Big Shot using the Tufted Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  This pattern is reminiscent of the pattern on a quilt I had on my bed when I was a young girl.  I love it!

On the strip of Whisper White that runs across the front of the card I stamped my sentiment using Rich Razzleberry Ink Pad.  I added some green leaves stamped in Old Olive Ink and stamped the flower using the Pop of Petals Stamp Set and Calypso Coral Ink and punched it out using the matching punch.

A small piece of Rich Razzleberry Velvet Ribbon and Rose Twine finished my design.  As I already had them in my crafting stash I added some of the Iridescent Sequins too, for added sparkle!!

Details of how you can make this too are typed up for you below along with the products that I used.

Happy Crafting WITH LOVE from SANDRA xx
