Stampin’ Up Heart Happiness

Hi my Stampin’ Friends,

today my gorgeous Card uses the Heart Happiness Stamp Set, which is photopolymer, so its see through and is perfect for lining up on my Cardstock, if I wish to overlay my coloured inks.  That is exactly what I have done on a piece of Whisper White Cardstock using Soft Sky, Perfect Plum and Rich Razzleberry.  They look so soft and beautiful together these colours.

You may notice that I have stitched edges to this piece of cardstock, for which I used the largest square in the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies and placed through my Big Shot, but not cutting up to one of the top edges.  I then moved it up to a higher point and die cut the top part.  This gave me an oblong shape instead of a square shape.  I love that I can use my Layering Squares Dies to create a different effect.  It makes them cost effective to me.

I used the different heart images from the Heart Happiness Stamp Set and stamped over the Whisper White piece using Soft Sky, Perfect Plum and Rich Razzleberry Inks.  It makes me happy that I have created an oblong effect!

My Card Base uses half a sheet of A4 Perfect Plum Cardstock folded in half.  I used tone on tone ink meaning that I used Perfect Plum Classic Ink and stamped the images of the “wee little hearts” all over the front of the card.  Then I used a second piece of Whisper White to layer underneath my stitched oblong shape and adhered it to my Card using Snail Adhesive.

I had a small piece of Rich Razzleberry Cardstock in my “bits and bobs” tray that fitted perfectly across the front of the Card.  Using the Sweet and Sassy Framelit Dies I cut a medium sized heart using Soft Sky Cardstock.  I stamped the heart image of flowers from the Heart Happiness Stamp Set using Perfect Plum Ink onto a scrap piece of Whisper White.  I die cut this image using my Sweet and Sassy Framelit Dies.

Again, from my “scrap bin” I found a small piece of Whisper White Cardstock to stamp my sentiment in Rich Razzleberry Ink.  Of course, I didn’t forget to stamp the inside of my Card using another piece of Whisper White Cardstock to finish it off.  Voila, my Card is done and I am rather pleased with myself.

By the way, I forgot to say that I used my Stampin’ Blends to colour the flowers in the centre of the heart using Old Olive (Light), Pool Party (Light and Dark) and Rich Razzleberry (Light).  I added three Rhinestones in the centres of the larger flowers.  My heart was layered onto the Card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
