Hi my Stampin’ Friends,
today’s video tutorial demonstrates how I made these pretty gift boxes to hold some hand cream that I recently purchased, which didn’t come in a box. At this time of year there are so many birthdays and I just don’t know any ladies who aren’t pleased to receive such a gift. I know that I get through tons of the stuff! I am sure that it is all the crafting that I do that dries my hands out, but I just don’t care I have to have crafting in my life!
I measured my hand cream so that I could design a box to hold it in. I didn’t want to put a separate lid onto it and have seen many milk carton designed boxes on Pinterest so felt that would achieve a great finish.
I love the Garden Impressions Designer Papers so chose one of the beautiful patterns and created my colours around that. For the base of my boxes I used Powder Pink and So Saffron Card stock and layered the designer papers around the four sides of the box.
What else could I possibly use to decorate, well, of course, its just got to be butterflies. So I pulled out my Butterfly Gala Stamp Set with matching punch, and hopefully, this bundle will be back in stock by the time my post goes live! This has been such an overwhelmingly popular bundle that they sold out more or less straight away that the Spring and Summer Stampin’ Up Catalogue went live back at the beginning of January. However, the good news is that this bundle will be carrying over into the new Main Stampin’ Up Catalogue in June 2019.
In the attached video you will see how I scored my cardcstock and folded it to create my gorgeous little box. These folds are so easy to do. They are then hole punched and a ribbon bow added for the closure. I was delighted when I stamped the sentiment to find that it fitted perfectly inside the larger of the butterflies on the punch. Genius.

Score on the long side at 2 and 6 1/2″ (5 and 16 cm)
Score on the short side at 2, 4, 6 and 8″ (5, 10, 15 and 20 cm) THEN MAKE A small notch at 3 and 7″ (7.5 and 17.5 cm)
