Hi my Stampin’ Friends,
today’s card idea came from the founder and CEO of Stampin’ Up, the wonderful Shelli Gardner. This is GENIUS!! It is extremely quirky and an unexpected delight when you open up the card.
As you can see from my photos I made my card for a colleague celebrating her 50th Birthday. As my colleague ADORES butterflies this was a perfect gift. My finished card is slightly larger than the norm, measuring 6 x 5 1/2″. I used the Share What You Love Speciality DSP to decorate, as I love this “blooming stuff”. I die cut the Butterfly using the Springtime Impressions Die, so, so pretty using Glimmer Paper to create added “sparkle”.
My card bases uses a piece of Rich Razzleberry layered with Whisper White Cardstock, adding a smaller piece of the “Share What you Love Speciality DSP”. The numbers were die cut using Old Olive and Rich Razzleberry and offset against each other to create more dimension.
An easy card to make but so brilliant when you see the mechanism! As my card wasn’t the standard size I made the envelope with a piece of DSP and the Envelope Punch Board, also creating a belly band so that the envelope could be re-used.
