Pop-Up Dragonfly Dreams | Artypaper Crafters

Hi my Stampin’ Friends,

the video tutorial today is an idea on Pinterest that was inspired by Gosia MacKinnon at MyPapercraft.co.uk. Gosia made this Card for her Mum earlier this year and I thought it was absolutely lovely.

I really wanted to make this Card, but using my Dragonfly Dreams Bundle Stamp Set with co-ordinating Dies. It took me some time to work out how to cut the Dragonflies so they would all still be joined up and how I could keep the dragonflies tummy intact once it was folded. I love this Card, as it creates such a lovely surprise for the recipient.

For the Card Base I used the Thick Whisper White Cardstock, layered up with Bermuda Bay and then cut a piece of Whisper White which I placed into my Layered Leaves Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I added a smaller piece of Bermuda Bay Card to which I placed a piece of Designer Paper.

For the pop-up dragonfly centre in the Card I used a long piece of Whisper White measuring 10 x 2 1/2″ which was scored and folded. The Dragonfly Die is placed on top and run through the Big Shot. I then hand stamped on top of the cut outs using the Dragonfly Stamp and my Bermuda Bay Ink Pad. To add extra special beauty I die cut three Dragonflies out using some of the Bermuda Bay Glimmer Paper I had from Sale-a-Bration. It has added such sparkle. I love it.

Here is the video showing how I made it using the Textured Wood Embossing Folder, Foil Frenzy Speciality DSP and Dragonfly Stamp Set with co-ordinating Dies. Oh how I love the glitter on this Card!!
